    @mickeywantstostab the top part of the V8 where the intakes are. they have the fuel injectors outside because the rules state they cant use and machines to cool the gas so the have the fuel expose on top so they can get it as cool as possible.

    The intake manifold in normal cars an intake plenum is attached to this and ducting from that to an air filter. With F1 this setup is to restrictive so it is left open to suck in air from outside and fuel via the injectors more easily.

    it’s in sync with data from a f1 car on a track.
    so it runs like it was mounted in the car on the track.

    This is a dynamometer test of the engine. They put the engine in a test bench and stresses it the same way it would be stressed at race, while measuring hundreds of items. The whole powertrain is mounted to assure the data will simulate real life.

    the round tubes is the throttle body and the yellow thing is the injectors sprying gas inside the throttle body to the engine to combust. as u can see the lounder the engine sounds, the most gas is sprying out.
